UGC pricing in Nigeria: how to budget a creator campaign

A useful UGC budget starts with the work you need. A creator filming one product demonstration is quoting a different job from someone delivering three edited videos and publishing them to their audience. Use this guide to get comparable quotes before hiring.

Define what the quote includes

UGC means user-generated content. In a commissioned campaign, you pay a creator to produce assets for your brand. Posting those assets to the creator’s own account is a separate deliverable unless you explicitly agree otherwise.

Start with a fixed scope: the number of finished assets, their length, aspect ratio, spoken language and delivery date. Specify whether you need subtitles, alternative opening hooks, still photographs or raw footage. A request for ‘one video’ leaves too much open to interpretation.

  • Finished assets: quantity, length and aspect ratio
  • Production: script, location, props and product delivery
  • Editing: captions, music, extra hooks and raw files
  • Review: included revision rounds and who gives approval

Separate production, posting and usage

Ask for a breakdown of the creation fee, any fee for publishing on the creator’s channels, and the permissions you need to reuse the assets. A quote for your own organic social posts may not include paid advertising or use on a retailer’s website.

State the channels and intended usage period in your brief. If you want to run an ad through a creator’s account, ask about that separately. Confirm any exclusivity request, such as avoiding competitor campaigns, before comparing quotes. These are commercial terms to agree together; they are not automatically included with a download.

Compare the same brief across creators

Send each shortlisted creator the same scope. Review their relevant portfolio work alongside their quote: a lower headline price may exclude editing or revisions that another quote includes. Ask what happens if the product arrives late or the brief changes after filming.

For a small first campaign, one practical starting brief is two vertical product demos, each with a different opening, one agreed revision round and a defined period of organic brand use. This is a planning example, not a UseHype package or a market price. Request actual quotes for your product and timeline.

Build your total campaign budget

Your working total is creator production fees plus any posting and usage fees, product delivery, agreed expenses and applicable platform or payment charges. Paid media spend is another line item if you plan to promote the content. Keep room for extra work you may choose to commission after reviewing the first assets.

UseHype does not set one universal creator rate. Review profiles and offerings, discuss a custom scope, and confirm the final fees and terms before work starts. Studio credit packs pay for AI tools; they are separate from hiring a human creator.
