Using UseHype
UseHype provides tools for creators and brands to discover one another, discuss and manage campaigns, share content, and follow payments. By using the service, you agree to these terms and any additional terms shown for a feature or transaction.
You must have the legal capacity and permission to enter the agreements you make. If you act for a brand or organisation, you must be authorised to do so. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the service.
Your account
Provide accurate information, keep your details current and protect your sign-in credentials. You are responsible for activity you authorise through your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised. Do not impersonate another person or misrepresent your audience, work or authority.
Campaign agreements
Creators and brands are responsible for agreeing on the work. Confirm the deliverables, fees, deadlines, revision rounds, cancellation conditions and content usage rights before production starts.
A campaign agreement sets out the commercial arrangement between its participants. The platform does not guarantee that a profile, invitation or proposal will result in work, income, sales or a particular campaign outcome. Keep important decisions in the campaign record.
Fees and payments
Review the fees and payment conditions displayed before confirming a transaction. Campaign payments, payouts, cancellations and refunds depend on the agreed terms, transaction status and applicable requirements. An estimate or calculator is not a binding quote.
Provide accurate payment details and meet any verification requirements. Payment providers may apply their own processing rules and timing. Each participant remains responsible for taxes and reporting obligations that apply to them.
Content and usage rights
You retain the rights you hold in the content you upload. You give UseHype permission to host, process and display that content as needed to provide the service and the visibility settings you choose.
Rights a brand receives in a creator’s work must be set out in the campaign agreement. Uploading a deliverable does not, by itself, grant unlimited use. Confirm the channels, duration, territory, editing rights and paid advertising permissions that apply. Do not share third-party music, footage, images or personal information without the necessary rights.
Responsible use
- Do not use the service for fraud, harassment, unlawful discrimination, deceptive endorsements or other unlawful activity.
- Do not upload malicious software, interfere with the platform or attempt to access another person’s account or private information.
- Respect intellectual property, privacy and confidentiality obligations.
- Make any sponsorship or advertising disclosures required for your content and audience.
- Do not publish false reviews or manufacture misleading engagement.
AI-assisted features
AI features can help you prepare a starting point. Suggestions may be incomplete or inaccurate. Review the output before applying it to a campaign, and make the final decisions about your brief, budget, deliverables and terms. Do not submit information you are not permitted to share.
Problems, disputes and access
If a campaign is not going to plan, raise the issue promptly, keep relevant records and use the available support or dispute process. Contact support@usehype.africa with the campaign reference and a clear description of the issue.
Access may be restricted or suspended to address misuse, security concerns or a breach of these terms. Closing an account does not remove obligations already agreed, including payments, content rights or confidentiality obligations.
Availability and responsibility
Features may change and the service may occasionally be unavailable. UseHype does not promise uninterrupted access or guarantee the conduct or performance of another participant. Each party remains responsible for its own commitments. Nothing in these terms removes a right or limits a responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Privacy, changes and questions
Our privacy policy explains how information is handled. Updates to these terms will appear here. If you need help understanding how these terms relate to your account or a campaign, contact the team.
