How to hire UGC creators in Nigeria: from shortlist to delivery
By UseHype · Brand campaign guides
To hire a UGC creator in Nigeria, define the content you need, compare relevant portfolios, request quotes against the same brief and agree on delivery and usage before filming.

Start with a deliverable, not a follower count
Decide whether you need files for your brand or a post on the creator’s account. A strong on-camera demonstration can be useful even when the creator has a small audience. For creator posting, also assess audience location and fit.
For example, a Lagos food brand could request two vertical preparation videos in English with subtitles. Name the product, the intended viewer, the required shots and the delivery date. This is an example brief, not an advertised package.
Build a shortlist you can compare
Browse public creator portfolios and look for work resembling your intended format. Check whether the creator explains a product clearly, records usable sound and shows details without obscuring them with edits. Ask who filmed and edited collaborative samples.
Confirm the creator’s current location and whether product delivery is practical. A location in a profile is a starting point, not a shipping confirmation. Share private delivery details only through the agreed booking process.
- Relevant format and production quality
- Language and audience fit
- Availability after product arrival
- Production, editing and revision responsibilities
Request the same scope from each creator
Use the campaign brief template to specify quantity, length, format, revisions, delivery and usage. Ask creators to separate production, posting and extra permissions in their quote. Compare the total cost of the same work, not the cheapest headline number.
Check current platform charges before approving the budget. Confirm payment status and the booking terms in your workspace before production begins. Do not assume that an informal message means a paid booking is ready.
Make approval predictable
Give one person responsibility for consolidated feedback. Check the draft against the agreed brief: required shots, approved claims, legible captions, clear sound and the intended call to action. Distinguish correcting a missed requirement from requesting a new concept.
Keep delivery and permission records with the project. Accepting a file does not automatically give you unlimited advertising rights. If you later want a new cut or broader use, agree the added work and permissions first.
